What is carbon steel reducer?
Carbon steel pipe reducer is a kind of buttweld fittings in material grades ASTM A234 WPB, A860 WPHY 65 and A420 WPL6 for low temperature service. It is mainly used for the connection between two different pipe diameters. According to the different shapes, there are concentric reducer and eccentric reducer two kinds.

Allowable positive and negative deviation of carbon steel reducer：
The appearance of the reducer should not be cracked, heavy skin. And the wall thickness should be greater than the wall thickness of the large-diameter end pipe section.
Its quality should meet the current national standard GB/T12459-2005 provisions: The roundness of the reducer should not be greater than 1% of the outer diameter of the corresponding end, and the allowable deviation is ±3mm.
Its size permissible deviation should comply with the provisions of the relevant national products: The roundness of the eccentric reducer should not be greater than 1% of the outer diameter of the corresponding end, and the allowable deviation is ±3mm. The center lines of the two ends of the concentric reducer should coincide, and the allowable deviation of the eccentricity value is ±5mm.
