high quality Galvanized steel pipe
What is a galvanized steel pipe?
Galvanized steel pipe is divided into hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. The hot-dip galvanizing layer is thick, with uniform plating, strong adhesion and long service life. The cost of electroplating is low, the surface is not very smooth, and its corrosion resistance is much worse than that of hot-dip galvanized pipes.
Hot dip galvanizing process:
Workpiece degreasing → washing → pickling → washing → drying solvent dip fluxing preheated hot dip galvanized → cooling → finishing → rinsing → drying → passivation test
Cold-galvanized process:
Chemical degreasing → washing → hot water hot water electrolysis degreasing → washing → washing → strong corrosive galvanized iron alloy → washing → washing → light → → washing → drying passivation
What are the specific differences between cold galvanized pipes and hot galvanized pipes?
- Cold galvanized pipe is actually electric galvanized steel pipe, galvanized content is also very small. Hot galvanized steel pipe corrosion resistance is dozens of times that of cold galvanized steel pipe.
- The difference in the mode of operation. The zinc in hot dip galvanizing is generally obtained at 450 degrees Celsius to 480 degrees Celsius. And the zinc in cold galvanized steel pipe is obtained by electroplating at room temperature.
- In the difference between the thickness of the galvanized layer. The thickness of zinc in the hot-dip galvanized steel pipe is much thicker than that in the cold galvanized steel pipe.
- The difference in surface smoothness is that the surface of cold galvanized steel pipe is much rougher than that of hot galvanized steel pipe.
- There is also a big difference in price. Hot-dip galvanized pipe will not use electric galvanizing this way of galvanizing. However, those equipment is relatively old, relatively small enterprises mostly use electric galvanizing this mode. Naturally, cold galvanized steel pipe is much cheaper than hot-dip galvanized steel pipe.
- The cold galvanized steel pipe is only one side of the galvanized steel pipe. And the hot galvanized steel pipe should be fully galvanized.
- In the adhesion above the difference. The adhesion of cold galvanized steel pipe is much worse than that of hot galvanized steel pipe. Because the steel pipe matrix and zinc layer of cold galvanized steel pipe are independent. The zinc layer is very thin, and it is simply attached to the steel pipe matrix, so cold galvanized steel pipe is easy to fall off.
What is high quality galvanized steel pipe used for?
In order to improve corrosion resistance, the general steel pipe (black pipe) is galvanized. Galvanized steel pipe is divided into hot dip galvanized and electric galvanized two kinds. The hot dip galvanizing layer is thick and the cost of electric galvanizing is low, so there are galvanized steel pipes. Nowadays, with the development of the industry, the demand for galvanized steel pipes is increasing.
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe products have been used in many fields. The advantage of hot-dip galvanized is that the anti-corrosion life is long. It is widely used in power tower, communication tower, railway, road protection, road light pole, Marine components, building steel structure components, substation ancillary facilities, light industry and so on.
