How to process steel pipe bend

Most of the pipe bending process is bending through pressure processing, so that the steel (billet, ingot, etc.) processed plastic deformation. According to the temperature of bending pipe, the two kinds of bending process are divided into cold processing and hot working.


1. Forging method: The end or part of the elbow is punched and stretched by a die forging machine to reduce the outer diameter. The commonly used die forging machines are rotary, connecting rod and roller type.
2. Roller method: put the core in the elbow, push the roller around the periphery for the round edge processing.
3. Bulging method: one is to place rubber in the elbow, the top with a punch to tighten, so that the elbow protruding forming; the other is hydraulic bulging forming, filling liquid in the middle of the elbow, liquid pressure to the elbow into the desired shape, corrugated elbow consumption is mostly used in this way.
4, rolling method: usually without mandrel, suitable for the inner edge of the thick wall bend.
5, stamping method: with a taper core on the punch, extend the elbow end to the requested size and shape.
6. Bending forming method: there are three methods more commonly used, one method is called stretching method, another method is called stamping method, the third roller method, there are 3-4 rollers, two fixed rollers, one adjustment roll, adjust the fixed roll distance, scrap pipe bending is bending.
The non-oxidizing continuous heat treatment furnace with protective gas is widely used in the heat treatment of elbow in foreign countries to carry out intermediate heat treatment and final product heat treatment. Because of the bright surface without oxidation, the traditional pickling process is cancelled. The adoption of this heat treatment process not only improves the quality of the elbow, but also overcomes the environmental pollution caused by pickling.
