What is seamless steel pipe?
Seamless steel pipe is made of steel ingot or solid billet by piercing into a gross pipe, and then made by hot rolling, cold rolling or cold dialing. There is no combination of seams in the inner wall of the pipe.

What are the materials of seamless steel pipes?
Seamless steel pipe for general use is made of 10, 20, 30, 35, 45 and other high-quality carbon steel, 16Mn, 5MnV and other low-alloy structural steel or 40Cr, 30CrMnSi, 45Mn2, 40MnB, such as bonded steel hot-rolled or cold-rolled.
10, 20 and other low-carbon steel made of seamless pipe is mainly used for fluid transportation pipeline. 45, 40Cr and other medium-carbon steel made of seamless pipe is used to manufacture of mechanical parts, such as automobiles, tractors, stress parts.
General use of seamless steel pipe to ensure the strength and flattening test. Hot rolled steel pipe is delivered in hot rolled condition or heat treated condition; cold rolled is delivered in heat treated condition.
How to carry out routine maintenance of seamless steel pipe?
1.Cleaning of steel pipes
Utilizing solvents and emulsions to clean the steel surface to remove oil. But it can not remove the steel surface rust, oxide skin, welding flux, etc.. So it plays an auxiliary means in the production of anti-corrosion.
2. Steel pipe tool rust removal
Mainly use wire brush and other tools to polish the steel surface, it can remove the loose or warped oxidized skin, rust, weld slag and so on.
If the steel surface is firmly attached to the iron oxide, the tool is not ideal for removing rust, and cannot reach the depth of the anchor pattern required by the anti-corrosion construction.
3. Pickling of steel pipes
Acid washing treatment is generally done by both chemical and electrolytic methods. Sometimes it can be used as a re-treatment after sandblasting rust removal.
Pipeline anti-corrosion only chemical pickling, can remove the oxide skin, rust, old coating, chemical cleaning. Although the surface can achieve a certain degree of cleanliness and roughness, its anchor pattern is shallow, and easy to cause pollution to the environment.
