What is ERW Carbon Steel Pipe & tube?
Electric Resistance Weld (ERW) Carbon Steel Pipe is manufactured by cold forming carbon steel into pipe. The pipe is formed by rolling carbon steel plate and then welding the seam with an electric current.
At present, ERW carbon steel pipe is widely used in oil, natural gas, automobile industry and city gas fields. It can meet the requirements of high and low pressure, and occupies a pivotal position in the field of conveying pipe in the world.
Usually ERW carbon steel pipe maximum OD is 24” (609mm), for larger dimensions pipe will be manufactured in SAW.
